The Georgia State Society of Washington D.C. cordially invites you to our annual Cherry Blossom Dinner. The dinner and dance will be held on March 16 at The Washington Club, 15 Dupont Circle NW. The cocktail hour will begin at 6:30 pm, followed by dinner and the presentation of the 2013 Georgia Cherry Blossom Princess.
The Georgia Cherry Blossom Dinner is a longstanding Georgia State Society tradition. Since the 1950's the Society has hosted a dinner each year in honor of our Georgia Princess in the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Children from Georgia families in the Washington D.C. area are also introduced at the dinner as part of the Court of the Georgia Princess.
The 2013 Georgia Princess is Miss Emma Newall Hurt of Washington D.C. Emma is a Sophomore at Rice University majoring in History and Policy Studies. She is the daughter of Robert and Virginia Hurt of Washington D.C. Emma has been a participant in the Georgia Cherry Blossom Dinner since she was four years old.
Tickets are $40 for Georgia State Society members; $55 for nonmembers; and $22.50 for children 12 and under.
